Born in September 1978 as Yunique a.k.a Iyunstine, J16, Jon Q, Dada Fyrst Stone in Cape Town. At a young age of 11 he grew up in Paarl and this was the area where he developed his skill as a writer, writing poetry, lyrics and short stories. In 1992 he hooked up wit fellow mcz Mc Tswing, Kamalie, Jake-shun a.k.a. Jaak and Roc Warr (his best friend for 14 years). In 1996 he made his professional stage debut. It was also this year that he hooked up wit Mizchif, Zimbabwean born rapper who grew up in the Bronx, New York. In 1997 he studied Marketing and completed his Sales and Marketing Management studies in 1998. It was also the year 1997 when he joined a community radio and hosted a variety of shows e.g. Weekend - vibe, The Hot 30 chart show, Breakfast Show, Drive- Time show, etc. which had a huge fan base of over 120 000 listeners each time the showed aired. He worked as a Technical officer, Technical- and Production Manager, Music compiler, radio producer, Recording studio engineer and television engineer. In 2000 he launched his underground label entitled Stone Rekordz Entertainment where he managed a variety of musicians from a variety of genre's, but his love for being an artists did let him pursue his career as a performing- and recording artist. In 2000 he completed his diploma in Audio Engineering and in 2005 Station Management and Technical production. Yunique performed at various shows e.g. African Hip Hop Indaba 2001, Festivals (Festival of Lights Paarl and Saron for 4 years), Carnivals, hip hop sessions and showcases (Afghanistan, Spoeg, Bounce with uz, Afrikan Sypher All Starr Raiderz), just to name a few. He started a crew which won the "Ek se mamela! It's our music" compilation competition in the 2001 South African Music Week. Yunique also features in a Belguim documentary that was broadcasted in Belguim. He sold independently his debut release entitled "BHIND ENAH-ME LINEZ; IN DA LINE OF DUTY" to the German- and Belguim underground scene, which features Mfanekiso, Mona Lisa, Panaikz, Mdakanayza, Jake-Shun a.k.a. Jaak, Miztah Naztaljah, Griffy D, Blakk Soul, Lyrikal Bhukali, G-Max, Junior B, his late friend Sizwe Flepu a.k.a. "Bra Bizza/ Bobby", Majumbo and Zimbini. His album was playlisted on various radios and his latest track entitled "IT'Z A WONDAFULL WORLD" rotated on Good Hope FM. Yunique shared the stage with a variety of performing artists e.g. Mizchif, Isaac Mutant (with his crew Plain Madness), D Form (lead rapper from Moodphase 5), Afro Z, the late Devious sister, Black Noise, etc. just to name a few. Yunique featured on a variety of artists work and recorded and produced variety of tracks for artists from a variety of genre's implementing his skill as an audio engineer, producer, film director, graphic designer, website designer and animator. Yunique is working on his second album which is due for release next year, 2008, with collaborations of talented performing and recording artists, producers and audio engineers
