Take OVER
Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008Born on the thirteenth may day of 1982 in Eldoret Kenya Blakdivious is all about the love of the art been producing tracks since high school. Not made any cash as yet in da industry and most of ma productions are done in ma bedroom in Dandora a ghetto in the Eastland s of Nairobi Kenya we (Me and Nikpunk)started to make some loops got famous within the neighborhood and soon artists were visiting local cats like Ukooflani Mau Mau and some coming as far as Nigeria as the late Fleet Militant gave us a visit (September 2006) before his untimely death at the hands of gangsters in Lagos Nigeria early this year another one to give us a call at the same time last year was the Ugandan rapper, singer, public speaker, poet and human rights activist MR O aka RAGZ who inspired me a lot in handling tough situations in life when you suffer for what only you know that you are innocent, artistically it was the first time I was doing a rap album, without kicks and snares just guitars and vocals with inspiration from positive
energies around is what has kept me going all this time.I also got a chance to travel to Tanzania with a friend of Mine Gregory Wilson from Netherlands Colorado who is working with planetmind.org and did some collabos with our east African neighbors all in a bid to unify our motherland and hopefully this alliances in the future will realize a unified African state through music and arts.Despite living unemployed in a third world country without social funds and living below a dollar a day we keep it coming and if the money is anything to come by it will be as an added advantage to our loved ones and more so a chance to study sound techniques, get better equipment for our bedroom studio as we operate as ghetto whizkid with a good ear for audio frequencies to make the music sound as good as possible.
So this is just the beginning big up to all ma people trying make it up the socio-economico ladder.
And all yo self expressionists make more noise to be heard.
Mad respect Blakdivious.
