With a tremendous, pure, warm, sensitive and mighty voice, YELA serves you with an eclectic and generous Creole music recipe in the image of her native country: REUNION ISLAND which is a fantastic mosaic and ethnic inter-mixing with populations from around the globe: Africa, Europe, India, China, Madagascar...

Using languages like Creole, French, English, African languages, YELA breathes poetic sensibility into her songs, exploring her counterparts' historic and sociologic heritage, day to day aspirations and dreams, coming in line with most reunionians'quest for CREOLE Culture pride . In so doing, YELA follows the paths of elder cultural activists like Alain PETERS, Firmin VIRY, Luc DONNAT , Danyel WARO...

Settling in France for her studies granted YELA with an opportunity to broaden her musical horizons through encounters as varied as they were enriching, from live stage gigs to studio experiences which will turn to be instrumental in YELA's emergence as a solo artist. She went from kicking it live with Gospel music scene icons like US Jo ANN PICKENS, Former PALATA band leader EM BEE aka MARCEL MBOUNGOU, collaborating with percussions master EMILE BIAYENDA and his TAMBOURS DE BRAZZA, kicking it as background vocalist for Reunion island artist TI FOCK shows in PARIS,and other lead artists

Following her debut "SWING LOW SANGOLO" album on which she introduced her Reunionian culture and Gospel, Jazz , African music fusion recipe, YELA self-produced her sophomore MA KALOU album project with guest apperances by Creole Jazz piano icon MARIO CANONGE and Bass legend ETIENNE MBAPPE, collaborations with Producer and Bass great FRANCKY"Moulet" MWELE, producer and guitar player Amadou François COREA.

YELA also cherished a musical event heavy with symbolism as she premiered for MANU DIBANGO's december 20th Slavery Abolition commemoration concert in her native town of Saint Pierre and received from that international music Dean, the warm encouragements to hang on to her CREOLE style.

YELA belongs to that generations of Reunionian artists whose talent, authenticity, openmindedness offer brighter hopes for the perpetuation of Indian ocean culture both at home and throughout the world.
